Public Invited to Have Fun, Meet New People, Give Back
CHICAGO, IL – Miss Pivot and the Autism Society of Illinois are teaming up to host an event on Saturday, August 25 at NV Penthouse Lounge, 116 W. Hubbard, 8th Floor, Chicago, IL.
This interactive event will begin at 8:00pm. Proceeds from the event will go to ASI, making it a great way to meet new people AND give back.
Miss Pivot’s goal is to change the way you think about dating, making the whole thing easier for everyone. “The Miss Pivot team provides an atmosphere that really takes the pressure off of meeting new people,” said Joshua Mitchell, founder of Miss Pivot. “Working with the Autism Society a new passion of ours; it’s important to us because we know the Miss Pivot method works for people with Asperger’s,” Mitchell continues. “There are many organizations that assist people with Asperger’s with daily tasks such as balancing a checkbook. While these services are most certainly needed, we have found there is a serious gap in assisting people with their social lives. We pride ourselves on being able to provide the tools to be less awkward in social situations.”
The Autism Society of Illinois (ASI), a boots on the ground organization, is a statewide chapter, working with people throughout the state of Illinois with family members on the ASD spectrum. ASI offers free services to families through information and referral, advocacy, fundraising, and outreach opportunities. Money raised through ASI events will stay in Illinois to help local families.
