CHICAGO – On October 17th, 2012, Plus Fashion Week™ LLC introduces their inaugural event Plus Fashion Week™ to the Windy City. The event will last five days, ending on October 21st, 2012.
Plus Fashion Week™ Chicago will highlight well known designers locally and internationally whom cater to the plus size woman. The five day event will feature daily fashion showcases, Celebrity VIP events, and activities that highlight fashion in and around the City of Chicago. “Most plus size fashion events have been coastal,” says Carrie Novak, owner of Appease Inc., who’s company is a sponsor of the event as well as one of the event organizers. “Its time for women size 10 and above to rock Chicago with an event dedicated to them and the designers who cater to the plus size aesthetic.” As the metropolis of the Midwest, Chicago is the perfect city to launch the inaugural Plus Fashion Week™
The goal of Plus Fashion Week™ LLC is to facilitate partnerships within the international fashion community with an emphasis on the plus size apparel market. Women wearing a size 10 and over represent 65% of the population, however they still lack adequate style choices that meet their needs. Our flagship event Plus Fashion Week™ Chicago, will serve as an international resource linking plus size apparel professionals to the consumer. On March 6th, 2012 Plus Fashion Week™ Chicago will be having a social soiree as its official launch event at Charming Charlies Chicago.
