2018 Chicago Blues Festival Announces Headliners

The largest free blues festival in the world is coming to Chicago’s Millennium Park this summer and headliners have been announced.

The 35th annual Chicago Blues Festival will take place June 8-10—three days on four stages—from 11 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

The city’s largest music festival will open with a themed “65th Anniversary of Delmark Records Celebration,” at the Prtizker Pavilion.

“Tribute to Those Who Came Before and Bob Koester” on Friday will feature the Corey Dennison Band and the Mississippi Heat with guests Billy Flynn and Giles Corey. The lineup will also include Corey Dennison and Gerry Hundt, Jimmy Burns, Ken Saydak, Guy King, Billy Flynn and Linsey Alexander, Lil’ Ed & Dave Weld, Demetria Taylor and Tomiko Dixon, Steve Bell and Lurrie Bell, Jimmy Johnson and Dave Specter, and Omar Coleman.

The lineup for Saturday’s “Little Walter Tribute,” includes Selwyn Birchwood and Willie Clayton and Sunday’s closing night will feature Fantastic Negrito, Kenny Neal and Mavis Staples.
