Chicago – Mayor Daley is brushing off a very close call with a bat at the White Sox game.
The city’s number one White Sox fan was sitting in the second row Wednesday night when a bat flew out of Andruw Jones’ hands.
The bat just missed the mayor and landed in the aisle.
He’s glad no one was hurt and even better, he saw the White Sox win.
“As long as the White Sox won, I didn’t care where the bat was going. Also, two balls came and almost hit me. I thought they were going to throw a mitt at me or something else,” Daley said.
The mayor has had a close call at baseball games in the past as well.
He almost got hit by a bat at a game last season in Kansas City.
