CHICAGO — It seems that one appearance with David Letterman wasn’t enough for disgraced former Gov. Rod Blagojevich, even though the late-night host asked him bluntly, “Why, exactly, are you here?” on his first appearance.
Blagojevich’s publicist, Glenn Selig, confirmed Tuesday that the former governor, who is scheduled for a federal corruption trial this summer, will participate in Letterman’s popular “Top Ten” segment Wednesday night.
Selig said Blagojevich was delighted to be asked back on the show and has a great deal of respect for Letterman.
It’s not the only upcoming national television appearance for Blagojevich, who was impeached and removed from office in January of last year. On Sunday he will be appearing as one of the contestants in the season debut of Donald Trump’s reality show “Celebrity Apprentice.”
