State Sen. Bill Brady of Bloomington, the Republican candidate for governor, is planning an eight-city flyaround today to thank his supporters and launch his general election campaign.
He will be joined by his lieutenant governor running mate, Jason Plummer.
The tour, which will begin at 10 a.m. at the airport in Rockford, will conclude with a free 7 p.m. victory rally at the Doubletree Hotel and Conference Center in Bloomington.
The other cities Brady is planning to visit today are Moline, Quincy, Cahokia/ Sauget, Marion, Champaign and Peoria.
Brady faces Gov. Pat Quinn, the winner of the Democratic primary, in November’s general election.
