Chicago police have issued a community alert after a pair of robberies in the city’s Bronzeville neighborhood.

In each of the robberies, victims were approached when they were standing near their vehicles by a person holding a gun. The robber then demanded property from the victims, and in one of the robberies even stole the victim’s car.

The robberies have occurred at the following locations:

  • 4000 block of South Dearborn Avenue on Dec. 14 at approximately 4:55 p.m.
  • 4000 block of South State Street on Dec. 15 at approximately 1:57 p.m.

A description was made available for one of the alleged robbers, who police say is between 14 and 20 years of age. No other identifying information was reported.

If anyone has information on the robberies, they are asked to call 911 or to contact Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
