A couple of Chicago area bosses are in some rarefied company they’d rather not be associated with.

Career resource web site eBossWatch listed Cicero Town President Larry Dominick No. 35 in its annual rankings of America’s Worst Bosses.

Dominick received the dubious honor after former employee Sharon Starzyk accused him of sexual harassment, prompting Cicero to pay a $500,000 settlement in the wrongful termination lawsuit.  According to the Chicago Tribune, Starzyk’s lawsuit included accusations of “explicit comments, groping and inappropriate touching,” although she dropped the charges as part of the settlement and the town didn’t admit any wrongdoing.

For his part, Dominick claimed in court records that the two had consensual sex and that Starzyk was upset when he married another woman, according to the newspaper.

In the tradition of colorful Cicero politics, Starzyk is now running for town collector, raising the possibility that she could again be working closely with the man she previously sued.

eBossWatch also ranked Chicago’s Dr. Russell Tomar No. 9 on the worst bosses list.

Tomar was working as the chairman of pathology for the Cook County Health and Hospital System when a federal jury ruled in favor of another doctor’s claims that Tomar tried to damage her credibility and reputation after she attempted to speak out against poor practices at Stroger Hospital. Dr. Vivian Renta was awarded $7.6 million in the racial and gender discrimination case.
