INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – Indianapolis Colts punter Pat McAfee was in court Friday for a pretrial hearing relating to his public intoxication charge.
McAfee told the judge he would like go with a diversion program. In other words, McAfee will undergo the NFL alcohol abuse program. If he is still in compliance at the end of the program, he will go back to court on April 11 and that will be the end of the incident.
McAfee will also have to serve eight hours of community service.
The punter was arrested in October on public intoxication charges after swimming in a Broad Ripple canal.
