Daylight Saving Time ends

INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – State officials are reminding Indiana residents that this is the weekend they should turn their clocks back to mark this year’s end of daylight-saving time.

The change to standard time occurs at 2 a.m. Sunday. But most
folks will “fall back” and set their clocks back one hour before they go to bed Saturday night to make sure they’re in synch with
their neighbors on Sunday morning.

Daylight saving time returns at 2 a.m. local time the second
Sunday in March.

State Fire Marshal Jim Greeson says each time-change is a good
time for residents to put a new battery in their home’s smoke
alarms. He says the warning provided by smoke alarms doubles an individual’s chances of surviving a residential fire.
