LOS ANGELES — Perhaps that loud pregame cheer Derrick Rose received in Oakland, Calif., on Monday served as foreshadowing.
The NBA released its list of most popular jerseys Wednesday and Rose vaulted from 11th place in his rookie season to fourth.
He trails only Kobe Bryant of the Lakers, LeBron James of the Cavaliers and Dwight Howard of the Magic on the list of biggest-selling jerseys.
That’s some serious company for a second-year player. Miami’s Dwyane Wade, whom many Bulls fans would love to see in their jersey next season, rounds out the top five.
