MARTINSVILLE, Ind. (WISH) – A 6-year-old boy was run over by his own family in an accident Wednesday.
Martinsville Police officials said the boy was being picked up from school by his mother and her boyfriend. The boyfriend was driving a Chevrolet Blazer when the mom said she thought the boy was in the vehicle. The 6-year-old had left the vehicle. He fell and the Blazer ran him over.
The boy was taken by LifeLine helicopter to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis. He was never unconscious. Police officials said he’s in good spirits.
No charges were filed as of Wednesday night.
