INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – The son of a candidate for Marion County sheriff was arrested for violating his parole.
Sgt. Dennis Fishburn is running on the Republican platform for sheriff. His son, Justin Fishburn, was in Marion County Jail on Friday, being held without bond for violating his parole. Fishburn was on parole after serving time for dealing drugs.
“He’s not getting any … special treatment, and if he did the crime then he’s got to do the time,” Dennis Fishburn said.
Justin Fishburn is scheduled to appear in court on Wednesday.
