Free Concerts Plus Open Rehearsals of the Grant Park Music Festival at the Jay Pritzker Pavilion All Summer Long
On Stage at Noon continues on the stage of the Jay Pritzker Pavilion, when Chicagoans and visitors can spend their lunch break watching free concerts and events all summer
long.
Highlights of the noon time summer season in Millennium Park include Edible Audible Picnic, featuring cutting-edge rock bands, sound artists, audio documentaries and electronic musicians on Monday afternoons. The Grant Park Music Festival, celebrating its 75th season this summer, continues its popular open rehearsals four days a week through mid-August, making Millennium Park a lunchtime destination for Chicagoans and visitors alike.
Additional programming at noon includes the Wiggleworms instructors from the Old Town School of Music on Sundays, leading young children in sing-alongs and group dancing. Bands that currently perform in Millennium Park’s Family Fun Festival, at the Chicago Cultural Center and at the World Music Festival will take to the Jay Pritzker Pavilion stage for a mix of live music and interactive performance on certain days at 12noon. Rounding out the summer season will be some of Chicago’s leading youth music programs bringing their best and brightest to the Pritzker stage, including performers from After School Matters and the Jazz Institute of Chicago’s Jazz Links Educational Program.
