Chicago – Wake and funeral arrangements have been set for a 31-year-old Chicago firefighter who fell to his death early Monday while battling a blaze at a Loop restaurant.
The wake for Christopher Wheatley will be held Thursday at Blake-Lamb Funeral Home, 4727 W. 103rd St. in Oak Lawn, from 3 p.m. until 9 p.m., a Fire Media Affairs release said.
A funeral service will be held at 9 a.m. Friday at Blake-Lamb. A walk-through will follow to St. John Fisher Church at 10234 S. Washtenaw Ave., where a funeral mass will be held at 10:30 a.m..
The firefighter and paramedic fell about 35 feet early Monday while carrying tools and equipment up a ladder attached to a building at 615 W. Randolph Street.
