Joliet, Ill. – A man claiming to have a bomb robbed a bank in southwest suburban Joliet Wednesday morning.
Deputy Police Chief Mike Trafton said it was just before 10 a.m. when the bandit walked into First Community Bank, 2801 Black Road, and approached a teller.
“He gave the teller a note that said he had a bomb and demanded cash,” Trafton said.
“He then took the money and note and fled on foot.”
No one was injured. The suspect was described as a white man in his 20s wearing a black hat.
