Chicago – Several people were reportedly injured when the wheel of an airplane caught fire at O’Hare International Airport Wednesday afternoon.
An EMS Plan 1 was called to the incident about 3:50 p.m., according to Fire Media Affairs Chief Kevin MacGregor.
The wheel of a Boeing airplane caught fire and required the evacuation of the plane, according to unconfirmed fire dispatch reports. Several small injuries have been reported and passengers were being evaluated by airport paramedics.
