Police at Northwestern University are reminding everyone to remain vigilant after a student was robbed on the Streeterville campus.
On Sunday night, a female NU student was walking down East Chicago Ave. near the Museum of Contemporary Art when a man attacked her. The assailant walked up to the student and knocked her down, then demanded her cell phone and money. A second man who had been walking in front of her then turned around and faced her.
Two nearby joggers approached the scene. Both men then escaped through Lake Shore Park together.
The student described the first man as a thin, white 16 or 17 year old standing 6 feet tall and weighing 180 pounds. He was sporting a buzz cut and wearing a dark sweatshirt and blue jeans.
The second man was reported to be a black 16 or 17 year old standing 6 feet tall and weighing between 190 and 200 pounds. He was also dressed in a dark sweatshirt and blue jeans.
The suspects did not show any weapons, and the student was not injured during the attack.
Anyone who has knowledge about the incident is asked to contact NU police.
