NAPERVILLE, Ill. (CHICAGOPRESSRELEASE.COM) — A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered for information about a large cast iron school bell taken from an southwest suburban school district warehouse.
The bell, about 3 feet-by-3 feet, was possibly inscribed or stamped with the word “Wheatland” (Wheatland Elementary School) and is valued at nearly $6,000, according to a release from Naperville police.
It was being stored in an Illinois School District 204 warehoue in Naperville, and was apparently stolen sometime in the last six months.
