Shooting Victim Pleas for Help on Street

Chicago – A man was shot and asking for help on a South Shore street Wednesday morning.

At 8:42 a.m., a 42-year-old man was shot in the chest and arm and asking for help on the street in the 2300 block of East 69th Street, police News Affairs Officer Anne Dwyer said.

He was unable to provide any information surrounding the attack, Dwyer said. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital in serious condition, police News Affairs Officer Darryl Baety said.

No one is in custody as Calumet Area detectives investigate.
