INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – What started out as a fight at Scecina Memorial High School went to another level when a student decided to grab another students genitals.
24-Hour News 8 spoke with the school spokesperson Greg Otolski about the incident that occurred Tuesday night.
Otolski said the fight occurred after students tried out for the Boy’s Varsity and Junior Varsity Basketball teams.
According to Otolski, one teen instigated a fight with three or four boys while waiting in the cafeteria for the coaches.
During the fight the teen that instigated the fight grabbed another teen’s genitals through his pants. At that point, several other teens joined into the fight.
After the fight school officials contacted Child Protective Services.
Otolski says the teen accused of starting the fight and grabbing another teen’s genitals has been suspended indefinitely. His parents have withdrawn him from the school.
Three other teens were also suspended for their role in the fight. It’s not known how long the suspensions will last.
Otolski says all parents whose children were involved in this incident were contacted.
Otolski also pointed out that all the boys involved in the incident are not current members of the basketball teams.
Child Protective Services is investigating this incident.
