Chicago – A diver says he has discovered a sunken treasure full of whiskey and gold at the bottom of Lake Michigan.
The diver says he’s found the long lost shipwreck of the Westmoreland, which sank off the coast of Michigan more than 150 years ago.
Treasure hunters have been trying for years to locate the wreckage, which was packed with gold when it sank.
Ross Richardson says he used sonar technology to locate the ship.
The cargo could be worth millions of dollars, but Richardson won’t reveal the ship’s exact location.
