In court Thursday, the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office asked Judge William Gamboney to re-sentence Hauad to the 21 years he had already served behind bars.

2 Men Shot in City’s First Fatal Shooting in 1 Week

Two men were fatally shot in Chicago early Thursday morning, marking the city’s first deadly shooting in near one week.  The shooting happened just before 3 a.m. in the 6600 block of South Evans in the city’s West Woodlawn neighborhood.  A 36-year-old man and a 27-year-old man were sitting in a vehicle when someone pulled up alongside them and fired shots, police said.  Both men were taken to Stroger Hospital where they were pronounced dead.  Area Central detectives continued to investigate Thursday morning, but no one was in custody.
