SPRINGFIELD – Illinois lawmakers are standing by their decision on the tax increase. There are rumors that the construction equipment giant Caterpillar may move its headquarters. People are blaming the tax hike for businesses saying they’ll move out of state.
Peoria State Senator David Koehler said he voted for the tax hike to help the state dig itself out of debt.
