SPRINGFIELD – Illinois could lose out on 68-thousand jobs if the U.S. Senate does not pass a sweeping energy proposal.
That’s according to a new report jointly released by small business and renewable energy policy groups.
Chris Van Atten with American Businesses for Clean Energy says renewable energy sources and job creation go hand-in-hand.
The report says that China and other countries could win the clean-energy jobs unless the Senate takes action.
The U.S. Senate may not debate a sweeping energy proposal until next year, after the mid-term elections.
