The Making of a Marine, Secret Missions, and a Life of Honor

Dick Hrebik allows readers a glimpse inside the military and an adventurous life of challenge and loyalty

CHICAGO, Aug. 17 /CHICAGOPRESSRELEASE.COM/ — As the United States continues to engage in its history’s longest battle, author Dick Hrebik reveals a behind-the-scenes look at Marine Corps life.  His 23-year career as a Marine provides a platform for not only depicting the making of Marines, but also revealing aspects of the secret missions he was deployed to carry out during the Vietnam War. Windy City Publishers is honored to announce the publication of Corps Vet: More than a Secret Mission… A Lifelong Tour of Duty.

Dick Hrebik was born to a Czech immigrant family struggling to achieve the American dream. Joining the Marine Corps at age 18 became the beginning of a lifelong tour of duty, as Dick’s military career took him on secret missions during the Vietnam War and provided him the opportunity to serve with influential military figures.  This inspiring personal story provides insight into the courage, pride, and grace of soldiers that serve the United States today.

Dick’s energy and enthusiasm are inspiring.  For his 75th Birthday he will be hiking Death Valley and climbing Mt. Whitney.  In honor of these events, he will be donating money to the Marine Corps Scholarship Foundation whose motto is “Honoring Marines By Educating Their Children.”  In his spare time Dick enjoys crafting his family wine at Vint Hill Farms in Virginia, which was a former U.S. Army high security listening site.  He resides in Black Diamond Ranch, FL.

  2. This is the right webpage for anyone who hopes to find out about this topic. You realize a whole lot its almost hard to argue with you (not that I personally will need to…HaHa). You certainly put a new spin on a topic that has been discussed for a long time. Wonderful stuff, just wonderful!|

  4. Designed for enjoyment, meaning the children’s electronic books full of enterprise, false impression, plus thrilling images, a significant Tampa Fresh factor named Doing work Lizzy produces excellent guides towards motivate mastering, love created for additional people, and a notion coming from individual price.

  5. I’ll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.)

  6. The Zune concentrates on being a Portable Media Player. Not a web browser. Not a game machine. Maybe in the future it’ll do even better in those areas, but for now it’s a fantastic way to organize and listen to your music and videos, and is without peer in that regard. The iPod’s strengths are its web browsing and apps. If those sound more compelling, perhaps it is your best choice.

  7. Heya i’m for the first time here. I found this board and I find It really useful & it helped me out a lot. I hope to give something back and aid others like you aided me.

Between me and my husband we’ve owned more MP3 players over the years than I can count, including Sansas, iRivers, iPods (classic & touch), the Ibiza Rhapsody, etc. But, the last few years I’ve settled down to one line of players. Why? Because I was happy to discover how well-designed and fun to use the underappreciated (and widely mocked) Zunes are.

  9. However, they run the risk of causing search engines like yahoo to downgrade or remove a web site from results.

  10. sesli chat says:

Apple now has Rhapsody as an app, which is a great start, but it is currently hampered by the inability to store locally on your iPod, and has a dismal 64kbps bit rate. If this changes, then it will somewhat negate this advantage for the Zune, but the 10 songs per month will still be a big plus in Zune Pass’ favor.

  11. sesli chat says:

The new Zune browser is surprisingly good, but not as good as the iPod’s. It works well, but isn’t as fast as Safari, and has a clunkier interface. If you occasionally plan on using the web browser that’s not an issue, but if you’re planning to browse the web alot from your PMP then the iPod’s larger screen and better browser may be important.

  12. This is getting a bit more subjective, but I much prefer the Zune Marketplace. The interface is colorful, has more flair, and some cool features like ‘Mixview’ that let you quickly see related albums, songs, or other users related to what you’re listening to. Clicking on one of those will center on that item, and another set of “neighbors” will come into view, allowing you to navigate around exploring by similar artists, songs, or users. Speaking of users, the Zune “Social” is also great fun, letting you find others with shared tastes and becoming friends with them. You then can listen to a playlist created based on an amalgamation of what all your friends are listening to, which is also enjoyable. Those concerned with privacy will be relieved to know you can prevent the public from seeing your personal listening habits if you so choose.

  13. Zune and iPod: Most people compare the Zune to the Touch, but after seeing how slim and surprisingly small and light it is, I consider it to be a rather unique hybrid that combines qualities of both the Touch and the Nano. It’s very colorful and lovely OLED screen is slightly smaller than the touch screen, but the player itself feels quite a bit smaller and lighter. It weighs about 2/3 as much, and is noticeably smaller in width and height, while being just a hair thicker.

I believe that avoiding refined foods will be the first step so that you can lose weight. They can taste beneficial, but refined foods have got very little vitamins and minerals, making you try to eat more simply to have enough strength to get over the day. Should you be constantly consuming these foods, transferring to whole grain products and other complex carbohydrates will help you have more vitality while consuming less. Interesting blog post.

The type of physician I would like to work for is a Pediatrician. Pediatrician’s sietpalcy is to work with children. I have been working with children for a long time mainly because I work at a daycare facility. I’ve got to a point where I feel like I can handle anything that will come my way with them. It would also leave me feeling good at the end of the day to know that I have helped in some way to make a child feel better. The type of physician I would not care to work for is a Epidemiologist. Epidemiologist’s specialize in epidemics caused by infections agents and also work with sexually transmitted diseases. I feel if I were to work in this type of sietpalcy I would be putting my self at risk of exposure to these infectious agents. Also I would be focusing a lot of my time on trying to not get infected instead of having a steady mind on what I was actually supposed to be doing.

  29. I’m impressed, I need to say. Actually not often do I encounter a weblog that’s both educative and entertaining, and let me inform you, you will have hit the nail on the head. Your thought is excellent; the problem is one thing that not sufficient individuals are talking intelligently about. I’m very pleased that I stumbled across this in my search for something referring to this.

  30. Thank you for another informative website. Where else could I get that type of info written in such a perfect way? I have a project that I’m just now working on, and I have been on the look out for such information.

While this subject can be very touchy for most people, my opinion is that there has to be a middle or common ground that we all can find. I do appreciate that youve added relevant and intelligent commentary here though. Thank you! Give yourself a chance to get some smarts on both subjects before flying off on an emotional tangent that will color your life for decades, or perhaps even end it.

Amazon has grown significantly over the years since their debut as an online book store. They now offer thousands of items in many different categories. You will also be happy to know that free shipping is offered on many items. Some restrictions may apply so please ensure you read the details on each product page. Another great benefit of shopping for your treadmill at Amazon is the ability to research the good and the bad simply by reading actual customer reviews in real time.
