So sorry (and shocked) to hear about Andrew’s passing. [I remember both Andrew and Gregory as friends of my own twin sons,William and Gregory, during their time at the Lab school. ] I especially remember his innate kindness. My deepest sympathies to his family.

A memorial service will be held at Bond Chapel, on the campus of the University of Chicago, on Saturday Feb 27, at 4pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Andrew Grene Foundation (andrewgrene.org) are very kindly appreciated, should that be so desired.

To Andrew’s wife Jennifer, his daughter Rosamund and to his two son’s Patrick and Alex, my deepest sympathies to you all on the loss of one loved so well. Andrew is an inspiration to the world, working with people who are less well of than those of us in the Western World. May he rest in peace in Co Cavan.

My deepest sympathies to you all at the loss of Andrew. He (and his brother) were my students during my first year teaching at the Lab Schools and I remember a deeply thoughtful, sweet boy. I am so terribly sorry for his loss.
