Boy gets hand caught in escalator at Union Station
A young boy was hospitalized Wednesday after getting his hand caught in an escalator at Union Station.
Early Wednesday afternoon the boy, whose exact age was not known, got his hand caught in an escalator at the train station at 210 S. Canal St., according to Fire Media Affairs spokesman Quention Curtis.
Fire personnel extricated the boy from the escalator and took him to Children’s Memorial Hospital, Curtis said.
The boy’s condition and the extent of his injury was not known, but he was not in serious or critical condition, Curtis said.
Police had no notification of the incident.
