Chicago Public Radio’s Steve Edwards Moderates Conversation Featuring Audrey Niffenegger (The Time Traveler’s Wife) and Aleksandar Hemon (The Lazarus Project) Sept. 14.

What: London-based Granta magazine’s week-long celebration of its all-Chicago issue kicks off with Audrey Niffenegger, author of the best-selling The Time Traveler’s Wife, now a major motion picture, and Aleksandar Hemon, MacArthur fellow and National Book Award Finalist for The Lazarus Project, discussing how artists and writers from around the world represent Chicago in their work. Chicago Public Radio’s Steve Edwards moderates.
Granta magazine’s special Chicago issue features new essays, stories, art and poems about Chicago by 28 acclaimed authors and artists including Sandra Cisneros, Don DeLillo, Stuart Dybek, Aleksandar Hemon, Alex Kotlowitz, George Saunders, Elaine Showalter, Wole Soyinka and Chris Ware.
This is only the second time in its history that Granta, founded 120 years ago at Cambridge University, has devoted an entire issue to a single city.
