Leading IT Provider LAN Solutions to Merge with Chicago-based Intrust Group

Range of resulting customer benefits include ability for continued service in event of a local disaster

Most professionals agree that there’s nothing more important than being able to continually and securely access their proprietary information.

To better ensure uninterrupted access, Cincinnati-based LAN Solutions has announced that it is merging with INTRUST GROUP of Chicago, effective immediately.

Both companies are leading managed service providers for small and medium-sized companies, municipalities, school districts, and other organizations in their respective cities.

“Because we now have operations in two cities, we can ensure continued service if there’s a problem in one of the locations,” says Rick Phipps, founder of INTRUST GROUP and now VP of Service Operations.

“And by bringing our teams together, we can broaden and deepen our technical skills, enabling us to offer a greater range of services to our customers.”

Megan Heil, COO of INTRUST GROUP, concurs and adds, “We can also capitalize on more efficient operations to help keep prices more competitive for our clients.”

The merged firm will keep the name INTRUST GROUP because the partners felt it put a strong emphasis on “trust.”

“Both companies have worked hard to gain the trust of our clients, vendors, employees and the greater communities we serve,” says Tim Rettig, founder of LAN Solutions and now President of INTRUST GROUP.

“Because we’ve been able to achieve a high level of trust with our clients, we’ve been able to help them achieve their goals through the efficient use of technology.”

About INTRUST GROUP

In business since 1992, the recently renamed INTRUST GROUP is a Managed Services Provider (MSP) that offers information technology support services for companies that have networks ranging from 10 to 1,500 workstations.

They are experts in IT infrastructure management, administration, and maintenance and in popular networking technologies, including Microsoft, Cisco, Citrix, and VMware. With offices in Cincinnati and Chicago, they also have extensive experience serving remote network locations.

Prior to the merger in 2009, the Cincinnati office, which also serves as the firm’s headquarters, was known as LAN Solutions.
