ALBUQUERQUE—This morning in federal court, Jay Rutherford Paiz, 31, a member of the Jicarilla Apache Nation who resides in Dulce, New Mexico, entered a guilty plea to a second-degree murder charge under a plea agreement with the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

PHOENIX—On October 2, 2012, Brice Little, 29, of Parker, Arizona, pleaded guilty to child abuse in federal district court in Phoenix. According to the plea agreement, Little, a member of the Colorado River Indian Tribes, was caring for a 4-month-old child on March 29, 2011, while the child’s mother was out.
Gila River Man Indicted for Aggravated Sexual Abuse
PHOENIX—On September 4, 2012, a federal grand jury in Phoenix returned an eight-count indictment against Keith Patrick Manuel, 39, of Bapchule, Arizona, and a member of the Gila River Indian Community. The indictment alleges that Manuel committed six separate acts of aggravated sexual abuse against a minor victim under the age of 12.

WASHINGTON – The Treasury Department took aim Thursday at an anti-Indian terror group behind the Mumbai attacks and a second group trying to drive India out of Kashmir, just before President Barack Obama’s upcoming Indian visit. Treasury announced measures to seize or freeze the assets of money men from two terrorist groups, Pakistan-based Lashkar-e Taiba and the Kashmir-separatist movement Jaish-e Mohammed.
