Judge Issues 2nd Warrant for Eddy Curry
Chicago – Cook County Judge Alexander White has issued an arrest warrant for former Chicago Bull Eddy Curry for the second time in little more than a month, in a legal case that raises new questions about the NBA player’s financial woes. White ordered Curry’s arrest on Monday, after learning Curry failed to sign an agreement to pay the balance of a $660,000 legal settlement reached after he was sued for allegedly having sex with an underage girl.
Germany takes legal steps against Facebook (AP)
BERLIN – A German data protection official said Wednesday he launched legal proceedings against Facebook, which he accused of illegally accessing and saving personal data of people who don’t use the social networking site. Johannes Caspar, head of the Hamburg office for data protection, said it had initiated legal steps that could result in Facebook being fined tens of thousands of euros for saving private information of individuals who don’t use the site and haven’t granted it access to their details.
