All CTA rapid transit stations to get cameras by June

IL: Panel OKs plan limiting income for seniors’ free rides
SPRINGFIELD — Free rides for senior citizens on buses and trains would be scaled back significantly, and transit systems throughout Illinois would net millions of dollars under a new plan approved with bipartisan support in a Senate panel Tuesday. The legislation would set income limits on the elderly aimed at keeping in place free rides on the CTA , Metra rail and Pace suburban bus service for those who need it most.
