Volunteers eager to ‘Do Right’
Proper behavior, treating others with respect, and dressing appropriately are some of the principles the expanding “Do Right” campaign will promote at this year’s March Madness Experience at the Peoria Civic Center.
Organized by Carl Cannon’s ELITE Youth program and backed by community leaders, the “Do Right” campaign features approximately 200 Peoria-area high school students assisting in the day-to-day events at the March Madness Experience, which opens at 6 p.m. Thursday.
“They will have the best of customer service,” Cannon said during a news conference introducing the first-time partnership between the Illinois High School Association, the Civic Center and the “Do Right” campaign.
“These youths will be on the job understanding they can be terminated for poor performance,” he added. “They weren’t given this opportunity, they earned it. Full Press Release…
